Spud is Collecting Food Donations for Families Affected by BC Floods in Partnership with United Way

As our province is dealing with the impacts of catastrophic floods that are devastating B.C. communities, as trucks have not had access to our highways for deliveries, food accessibility is hitting families hard during this time. Spud.ca will be collecting food donations for families who need access to food now. Please support these efforts in any way you can!

How can I help?

Simply place your donations into your Spud bin by December 12th. Donations include non-perishable items such as:

  • Pasta
  • Snacks
  • Canned Food
  • Dried Food
  • Unopened hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap)
  • Soy/Almond beverage products (can be stored at room temperature)

Our drivers will pick up your donations when delivering your order and deliver them to our warehouse where they will be distributed to people who are struggling with access to food.

Remember to be Considerate Shoppers
In these times it is easy to let panic feelings take over, stockpiling is so far not an issue we have been seeing at Spud and we are so proud that our customers have been so considerate to others. Remember to keep being kind, calm and considerate.

Thank you to our customers and our drivers for making these extra efforts for flood relief in extraordinary times!
