What is Hiyashi Chuka? Hiyashi Chuka is a Chinese noodle style Japanese dish consisting of chilled ramen noodles with various toppings often served in the summer. This week Dan from Nourish cooking school shows you how to make this delicious soon to be your next warm-weather staple! Traditionally, this Japanese dish is chilled ramen noodles with various toppings including egg, cucumber, ham and crab. But this dish is perfectly versatile as it can be adjusted to everyone’s preferences.  All you need are some ramen noodles, your favourite veggies and a simple dressing.

If you are vegetarian, you can omit ham, shrimp and crab and add your favourite tofu.
