HOW TO MAKE A VEGAN BLT SANDWICH

 

The BLT is a classic sandwich and you might be resistant to the idea veganizing it. Shh, just read on. Made with the new Be Fresh Fake-o-Baco, this sandwich achieves the flavours of its namesake, even without actual bacon.

Fake-o-Baco is a nutrient dense mixture of adzuki beans, with buckwheat groats, tomato paste, hickory smoke, maple syrup, tamari, and other seasonings. Best fried up in a pan, your kitchen will be filled with a smell that reminds us of Sunday morning brunch.

Obviously it’s not the same thing as bacon, but it’s pretty dang delicious. Pair it up crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, vegan chipotle mayo, and a touch of avocado (if you’re feeling extra crazy) and you’ll have yourself a lunch fit for a champion.

  3. Assemble all your ingredients on your bread .
  4. Stuff your face full of goodness.
