Healthy Overnight Oats Recipe
If you love healthy breakfast ideas but don’t like doing a whole lot of work in the morning, overnight oats are made for you. Just stir together a few ingredients in a mason jar, place it in the fridge overnight, and enjoy it the next morning. That’s it! There’s no cooking or baking, and you don’t even have to dirty any extra dishes. Plus: it’s totally customizable. A complete all-rounder!
Here’s how you can make the perfect batch of overnight oats in just three quick steps:
- 1-2 tbsp of Greek yogurt
- ¼ cup of oat milk
- ¼ cup of rolled oats
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Your favourite fruit, granola or honey
- Add Greek yogurt, oat milk, rolled oats and a pinch of cinnamon in a small mason jar and stir them all up.
- Cover and leave the jar in the fridge overnight.
- Add your favourite toppings and enjoy!
Banana Nut Butter Toast ‘Fingers’
This breakfast option couldn’t be simpler and packs a nutritional punch too. It’s full of healthy fats and protein, boosting your metabolism for the day. All of these ingredients are plant-based and dairy-free, and can easily be adjusted for nut allergies (our favourite is the organic sunflower seed butter by Nuts to You).
Here’s how you can make these delicious banana nut butter toast fingers in just five quick steps:
- Bread of choice
- Nut butter
- 1 Banana
- 1 tbsp Honey
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Toast your bread of choice
- Spread on a layer of nut butter evenly over 2 bread slices
- Layer with banana slices
- Cut into slices or “fingers” and drizzle honey over top
- Dust off with a dash of cinnamon and pair it with a glass of milk or coffee
