Summer is in the air! Whether you are trying to summit your local mountain or…
With the school year in full swing, and the holidays creeping up, things are getting hectic. As much as we might like to, we can’t always find the time to put together Instragram-ready, nutritionally balanced meals. I find that eating well is one the first things to fall off my priority list when I get busy and stressed out, even though I know that a poor diet will only make me feel worse. But realistically, spending less time preparing healthy meals and snacks and instead living on popcorn (at least it’s a whole grain), sometimes feels like the only way to get some extra time in the day.
But this year, I’m making a concerted effort to not let myself fall into the trap of eating garbage just because it’s faster/easier, and I have a pretty foolproof plan: Vega One Nutritional Shake powder. This powder goes above and beyond the average protein powder. Not only does it contain protein, it also delivers veggies and greens, vitamins and minerals, fibre, omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, and probiotics. And, because it’s Vega, you know it’s plant based and made from whole foods.
Although we know that when it comes to ingredients, there are a wide range of flavours to amp up your smoothie, the best part about Vega is that it’s great on its own too. During the days when even a smoothie seems like too much work, I’ll simply mix it with water. Just scoop some powder into your water bottle, shake, and you’re good to go. It’s one less thing I need to worry about doing when my schedule is already stretched to the limit.
BUT – if you do have a little more time on your hands, you should probably try making these gluten-free chocolate donuts with peanut butter glaze using Vega One Nutritional Shake. I’d say that would be worth being late to pick up a kid from soccer practice.
