Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and stand with our Indigenous colleagues and communities. Spud is committed as a company to furthering our and our team’s understanding of the history and impacts of residential schools and the mistreatment of Indigenous People. We have provided September 30 as a day away for staff, and encourage the team to learn and further their understanding. We are grateful that we will have the chance to take this day to observe, learn, participate, and hold space for healing, reparations, and unity.
Freshlocal Solutions and its subsidiaries including Spud.ca, Mainland Fresh, and retail stores Be Fresh, Organic Acres, and Blush Lane, acknowledge that we are privileged to come and work together on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous nations.
