To celebrate a week of fighting waste and to inspire each other to continue reducing waste at home, we are hosting a SOLD OUT Low Waste is the New No Waste” workshop with guest speaker Christina Wilton from Dragonfly Thrive.

Many of our vendors are as strongly committed to sustainability and fighting waste as we areThey inspire us by fighting waste through remarkable innovations, check some of them out here:

Soap Exchange The Soap Exchange has a comprehensive collection of products which are environment-friendly and 100% biodegradable. They also recycle and re-use their packaging so be sure to return all your empty Soap Exchange bottles in your Spud bin so they can be reused. Read more about Spud’s takeback program.

Loop Loop repurposes the outcasts of the food industry by transforming perfectly imperfect fruits and vegetables into mind-blowing cold pressed juices, probiotic sodas and more. With a rescue mission to be a food waste fighting powerhouse, Loop is constantly working on new initiatives such as making soap from rejected cooking oil.

Bee Kind Beeswax wraps are the reusable and biodegradable version of plastic wrap. They can also keep your food fresh and tasty for longer. Each Bee Kind wrap design is lovingly hand-painted by the founder’s mom.

The Soap Works The Soap Works is proud to be family-run and independent for over 30 years. Their line of products is all-natural, made using only biodegradable ingredients. On Spud.ca you’ll find several their amazing soaps, along with old fashioned stain-remover laundry bars and shampoo & conditioner bars.
