A few weeks ago, we shared 6 ways to live with less plastic, and the response was amazing. Your comments, likes, and shares communicated to us that reducing the amount of plastic within our everyday lives is really something that the Spud community cares about.

One of the tips we shared was to pack your lunch in reusable containers, and move away from Tupperware. No, this doesn’t mean we want you to throw out your existing reusable plastic containers! But moving forward, there are plenty of plastic-free options out there to choose from.

Hands down, our favourite plastic-free lunchboxes are from ECOlunchbox. All of their products are made from 100% stainless steel, and most come with multiple compact compartments to separate different parts of your lunch. So no need for plastic baggies or other unnecessary packaging that ends up going into the garbage. These boxes have little clips that allow the containers to stack together, and they won’t pinch little fingers. They’re easily transportable, clean well, and suit both adults and children just fine. Check out all of their products and choose the box that most suits your lifestyle. They’re all equally as compact, functional, and plastic-free.

The ECOlunchbox stands for the idea that change can begin at lunch time. The founder, Sandra Ann Harris, wanted to make a change in how she packed her family’s lunches. Specifically, she wanted to cut out the plastic and do the right thing for their health as well as the health of the planet. The ECOlunchbox has sold more than 225,000 boxes so far, averting tens of millions of pieces of trash (mostly plastic) from use and disposal.

We eat lunch everyday, so it’s a worthwhile routine to invest in. If you’ve been sitting on the tipping point of investing in a plastic-free lunchbox for a while, but haven’t found the right one, you’ve found it now. Try out an ECOlunchbox. They’re cute, functional, and best of all, they’re plastic free!
