There’s no arguing that summer is easily the most outdoor-friendly season. It’s perfect for sports, hiking, going to the beach, and having barbecues. But it’s also perfect for having those relaxing lazy days lying by the pool and soaking up the sun. And a day like that wouldn’t be complete without an oversized milkshake made with your favourite ice cream flavours.
Milkshakes have been around since the 1800s, and have since become a diner classic and a summer favourite. What’s not to like? It’s customizable, sweet, and delicious, and it’s ice cream. The foolproof way to ensure that your milkshake is as exquisite as it can be is to make it with your favourite ice creams from local artisan shops or with your own homemade ice cream–it’s as easy as three ingredients.
One of my favourite ways to enjoy milkshake is to blend it with another summer favourite–cold brew coffee. It’s delicious and very simple to make at home. Alternatively, you can also use espresso shots or chilled, strongly brewed coffee. So if you’re a coffee milkshake fan like I am, here are some recipes that you must try this summer. All you have to do is blend everything together!
