Now that the cooler weather is here, we don’t have to worry about turning on the oven and heating your entire home with the blasting heat of summer and the oven. Yorkshire puddings were a must while growing up. They are a common English side dish that is baked and can be served in many different ways but most commonly served as a side to a roast, soaked in gravy. Here is how you make them: You need 3 eggs, 1 cup milk, 1 cup all-purpose flour and 2 tablespoons butter.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and in a medium bowl, beat eggs with milk. Stir in flour. Set aside. Divide butter evenly into the twelve cups of a muffin tin, about 1/2 teaspoon per cup. Place the tin in the oven to melt butter, 2 to 5 minutes. Remove the tin from the oven, and distribute batter evenly among buttery cups. Bake in preheated oven 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees F, and bake 25 minutes more or until puffed and golden.
