Since Spud started over 20 years ago, we’ve been delivering in Rubbermaid bins – they’ve served us well! But as we continue to grow and improve, we needed to find a new solution that is more efficient and sustainable.
We’re pleased to introduce, our new bins! You may start seeing these handsome green bins at your door for some of your Spud orders. Don’t be alarmed, these new bins are here to help, and they’re better than our existing bins in several ways:
- They are sturdier and longer lasting, so we don’t have to replace them as frequently.
- They’re easier to clean, meaning they require less water to wash.
- They also stack more efficiently in the trucks, meaning we can get more groceries delivered in a single trip, ultimately reducing the total number of trips needed.
- These new bins will be taken back by the manufacturer when they’re damaged or worn out to be recycled into new products
We hope you love our new bins as much as we do, and thank you for being patient while we gradually roll this change out over the coming months. And don’t worry, the retired Rubbermaid bins will be used in other capacities around the warehouse.
