At Spud, we are committed to strengthening the communities we operate in. The holidays can…
We will be collecting donations in Spud bins June 17th-30th
What are Spud bin drives ?
A few times a year we at Spud call upon our thoughtful customers to help us cultivate a healthier community by asking for donations of food, clothing, or other living essentials. We ask for these donations to be placed back into customer’s Spud bins so that we can easily pick up these most-needed items and deliver them to organizations that serve those in need.
Why do bin drives matter?
At Spud, we take a holistic approach to sustainability, meaning we understand that a healthy environment is only achievable when you have a healthy and stable community, and vise versa.
This June, we are focusing on food security. In Canada, almost 10% of our population is food insecure, meaning they do not have access to sufficient, safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs for a healthy lifestyle(1). By donating food to families and individuals, we help our community worry less about the basics and get them back to what they’re passionate about.
