We’re all doing our best to leave a small footprint on the planet, and part of that effort is making sure we get the most out of our food. This sweet idea is just one more way to enjoy summer’s bounty.
When you’ve topped and hulled your strawberries for preserving (or eating), don’t throw away the tops and leaves just yet! Put them in a mason jar, fill up the jar with water, and cover. You can add a slice of lemon if you like. Leave the jar alone for a few hours, then strain into a glass. It’s just as refreshing as cucumber water, but sweeter.
