Ā Candied Orange Peels:Ā
Ingredients:Ā Ā
2Ā oranges worth of peelsĀ Ā
4 cups of sugar, divided Ā
3 cups of water Cut the peels into strips. Ā

Instructions:Ā Ā
Cook in a large pot of boiling water 15 minutes; drain, rinse, and drain again. Bring 3 cups ofĀ sugar and 3 cupsĀ ofĀ water to boil in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Add the peels and bring back to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer until theĀ peelsĀ areĀ very soft, about 45 minutes. Drain. Toss peel and 1 cupĀ ofĀ sugar on rimmed baking sheetĀ or bowl, separating strips. Lift peel from sugar; transfer to a sheet of foilĀ or parchment. Let stand until coating is dry, 1 to 2 days. Once dried you can eat right away or melt yourĀ favouriteĀ chocolate and dip them in! Enjoy!Ā
