Dagoba Organic Chocolate

Founded in 2001 by Frederick Schilling, DAGOBA was born out of a love for fine foods and a desire to create exquisite chocolates that brought innovation and sustainability to the industry. After much experimentation in his home kitchen, Frederick opened Dagoba in a production facility where he poured and wrapped the bars by hand for the first 2 years.

This dedication has brought forth a full line of award-winning products: bars, baking essentials, drinking chocolates and specialty items in retail and foodservice sizes. All products are Certified Organic and Kosher, many are additionally Fair Trade Certified. We are family owned and manufacture in small batches at our 100% organic facility. Dagoba’s unique approach and unwavering attention to quality have quickly brought high regards – including “Best Organic Bars” by Food & Wine, World’s Best Chocolate” by CNN/Money and “Best Dark Chocolate” by the San Francisco Chronicle.

We are driven by a desire to enhance the already divine qualities of cacao by ensuring the utmost attention to quality through all stages – from cacao production through manufacturing. We seek only the finest beans and add only the purest ingredients to make our products. Our chocolate bar line includes both blends and single origins. We are dedicated to seeking out the very best and using a blend of ancient and modern methods that preserve the integrity of the bean – defining the Art of Chocolate Alchemy. This ensures that you will always experience cacao in its purest and fullest form – chocolate that expresses a real identity – including slight changes across crop years that reflect the ebb and flow of our own lives. We use local ingredients whenever possible, with formulations that balance perfectly and offer a touch of surprise and health benefits. Inclusions are hand stirred into the chocolate to add that extra human touch.
