The ingredients below are often found in candy, popsicles or ice cream, sodas,  and sugar cereals. Where we really have to be careful is they even often found in items marked as healthy such as salad dressings, flavoured yogurts, packaged oatmeal and protein bars!

This highly processed sweetener is commonly found in processed foods and has been linked to obesity, diabetes, and other health issues. 

Hydrogenated oils:

These oils are often used to extend the shelf life of snacks but have been linked to heart disease and other health problems. 

Synthetic preservatives:

Chemical preservatives like BHA, BHT, and TBHQ are often used in conventional snacks to prevent spoilage. However, they have been linked to cancer and other health issues.

Artificial flavors:

Many conventional snacks use artificial flavors to enhance their taste. These flavors are often made from chemicals that have been linked to health problems. 

MSG (monosodium glutamate):

This flavor enhancer is often found in savory snacks, but it has been linked to headaches, nausea, and other health problems in some people.
