Metro Vancouver-based online grocery shopping service Spud has launched something new to help keep people healthy and happy during these wild times.

The brand’s new STAY HOME box program is now live in Vancouver and Calgary. This “first-of-its-kind delivery platform” offers customers seamless delivery.

A portion of every box sold will go towards discounted boxes for frontline workers, at-risk community members, and charities.

The first box is called the #WeApplaud Box. This box has essential grocery items with everything from non-perishables to fresh produce.

More specialty boxes will be launching in the coming weeks. There will be a baby box, a vegetarian staples box, and even a cleaning box.

The STAY HOME boxes are distributed through contactless delivery from Sunday to Friday.

“This is the first program of its kind in Canada that will subsidize essential food boxes to Frontline Workers which helps them go home after a long day of supporting us, and also members of our communities who are at risk and may not be able to leave their homes,” states Peter Van Stolk, CEO of Spud.

Interested frontline workers and organizations that support at-risk community members can reach out and sign up for the program via stayathome@spud.ca and find more information online.
