Homemade Garlic Confit


This homemade garlic confit makes the perfect addition to any cozy fall meal. Try it on a piece of toasted bread, or add it to sauces, dips or sandwiches.


  • Garlic
  • Olive oil
  • Flavourings of choice: i.e. herbs like thyme or rosemary, or chili flakes


Preheat oven to 250 F degrees. In an oven-safe dish, place desired amount of peeled garlic and flavourings. Fully submerge the garlic with olive oil. Cover and bake until golden and very soft, approximately 2 hours. Store the garlic and oil in an airtight container in the fridge.
