Red Onion Recall- July 2020

Red Onion Recall– July 2020

UPDATE: Thank you for putting your Red Onions aside. The source has been identified and we have confirmed our supply on SPUD.ca has not been affected and are safe to eat. Red onions will be available to order again tomorrow, August 5th.

With the recent news of the recall of Red Onions from the USA we are removing all Red Onions grown in the USA (or any unknown origin) for the time being.  It appears the source of the contaminated onions has been identified from a supplier.  We do not believe our supply chain has been affected but we are taking this precautionary action until more is known.

If you have any Red Onions from recent purchases, please set them aside and do not consume until further advice is provided.  As always, we have 100% satisfaction guarantee and will honour and guarantee any refund requests on these red onions to put safety first.

For more information about the Red Onion recall please visit The Public Health Agency of Canada website and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
