MAKE MEALS EASIER AND TASTIER WITH QUINOA QUICKIES!

Apparently, at 4:30pm, the majority of people don’t know what they’re having for dinner. We’ve all been there. You’re tired from working all day, maybe a little hangry… the last thing you want to do is think about what to make for dinner. It would be so helpful to have something in your cupboard that makes putting together a healthy and delicious meal super easy. That’s why we love Quinoa Quickies.

Quinoa Quickies are delicious, ready-to-eat quinoa mixes. They come with flavourful spices and natural veggies, so all you have to do is add water and cook for about 20 minutes. You can even cook them in the rice cooker!

Technically, quinoa quickies are designed as a side dish, but I think that’s selling them short! With a few minor tweaks and additions, you can make the quinoa into a flavourful, healthy meal. For example, I had the mild Indian curry quinoa (my favourite) in the cupboard recently, and not much else in the fridge.  I made the quinoa with canned coconut milk instead of water for a richer flavour and added some leftover cauliflower, carrots, and spinach I had in the fridge. I had a delicious dinner for two in around 20 minutes, and managed to avoid the dreaded “what should we have for dinner” conversation that inevitably spirals into the worst fight you’ve ever had.

There are other flavours of Quinoa Quickies, and literally endless ways to put your own spin on them. Add some to a soup or salad; top the quinoa with grilled chicken, fish, or meat; or roll into a quinoa wrap with fresh veggies and hummus. You definitely need a few packages in your pantry at all times.
